Sierra Gaudreau – Undergraduate Student

Research Interests:
As a DISP student Sierra developed an interest in human-automation interactions research. She is looking forward to exploring the other facets of research that the cognitive and motor performance field has to offer.

Lindsay Laviolette – Undergraduate Student
Educational Background:
- Pursuing a BSc in Medical Sciences – Faculty of Science – Dalhousie University
Research Interests:
Lindsay is completing her experiential learning program in the lab this semester, focusing on the role of reward feedback in movement. Along the way, she has been exposed to various interesting research areas related to cognitive and motor performance. She hopes to complete an honours program as part of her degree next year in one of these areas.
Beyond the Lab:
Lindsay spends her free time as a volunteer athletic trainer and children’s tutor. She also enjoys travelling, sports, and hiking.

Grace Perry – Undergraduate Student

- Pursuing a BSc(H) in Kinesiology – School of Health and Human Performance – Dalhousie University
Research Interests:
For her honours, Grace is exploring the dynamic relationship between users’ trust and reliance on automation, with increasing and decreasing automation reliability.
Beyond the Lab:
Competing and teaching lumberjack sports, and camping.

Ryan MacArthur – Undergraduate Student
Educational Background:

Research Interests:
Ryan is broadly interested in all aspects of conscious behaviour, including artificial consciousness and behaviour.
Beyond the Lab:
Recently joined the Canadian Armed Forces Reserves (1st Field Artillery Regiment) and trains in jiu-jitsu.

McKenna Grant – Undergraduate student
Educational Background:
Pursuing a BSc(H) in Psychology – Department of Psychology & Neuroscience – Dalhousie University
Research Interests:
McKenna is working with Dr. Kevin Leblanc to complete an honours research project that examines grasping motions. Broadly she is interested in cognitive neuroscience and psychology.

Hike, read, and play tennis.

Owen Atkinson – Undergraduate Student
Educational Background:
- Pursuing a BSc(H) in neuroscience – Department of Psychology and Neuroscience – Dalhousie University.
- Currently completing the Dalhousie Integrated Science Program.
Research Interests:
Owen is interested in Neuropsychology and Clinical Neuroscience. She hopes to conduct research related to mental health disorders in adolescents, specifically Complex Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder.
Beyond the Lab:
Owen has a deep-rooted love for performing in orchestras, choirs, and musical theatre productions. She also enjoys visiting art galleries as well as science and history museums!
